There are four ways people come into New Roads Ahead. Find the one that fits and follow the steps.
For probation officers placing someone on a sentence plan or drug rehabilitation order. NRA can form part of structured reintegration and sits alongside existing probation work.
For VIA keyworkers and other drug and alcohol services referring clients in early or ongoing recovery. NRA runs alongside your existing recovery work — it doesn't replace it.
For GPs, mental health teams, and healthcare professionals referring patients through GP Referral or similar pathways.
If you want to join NRA yourself, or you're getting in touch on behalf of someone close to you, fill in the form or get in touch. You don't need to be in another service first.
We aim to acknowledge every referral quickly and complete the pre-engagement conversation within a fortnight — subject to the potential participant being contactable.
